Here’s what you’ll need to get started.
Calculate your Fleet price1. Prepare your Fleet account
Choose the number of phones and tablets you need licensed, starting with 10. Choose monthly billing or an annual subscription paid upfront. Nominate who will administer your Fleet account and manage the devices, vehicle library and company permits.
2. Enrol your devices
Have your team’s phones and tablets ready with PadRoute installed. Enrol each device through the Fleet dashboard and assign its licence. Each licensed device includes Pro. A shared tablet can serve different drivers across shifts; a driver’s phone can move between trucks.
3. Add your shared vehicles
Prepare the vehicle configurations your team uses, including the loaded height for each job. Add the shared vehicle details so drivers can select the vehicle they are using without entering everything again. Confirm those details reflect the actual vehicle and load before each journey.
4. Bring your company permits
Gather the permits your business holds and confirm their vehicle, road and operating conditions. Manage these in Fleet and use the vehicle’s pre-approved road network to create an optimised journey plan.
5. Prepare the first journey
Select the vehicle taking the job and generate a journey within its pre-approved network. Alternatively, import an existing NHVR route link or a supported GPX, KML or GeoJSON file. Review access conditions, known bridge clearances and connecting roads. Resolve uncertainties using official sources before departure, then save the plan for turn-by-turn guidance.
Keep regular runs pinned so relief drivers can reopen the plan. Recheck the vehicle, load and conditions before each departure.

Optional Guided Setup
A$249 once, excluding GST, for a 60-minute remote session covering your account, device enrolment, shared vehicles, a sample permit and a routing walkthrough. Guided Setup is optional; your team manages tablet installation.

Road access checks use available NHVR data for the ACT, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria. What is available still depends on the source and location. See support and coverage information.
PadRoute supports route checks. Operators and drivers remain responsible for permit conditions, official access requirements and roadside signs. PadRoute is independent and is not endorsed by the NHVR.
