What PadRoute collects—and why.
This page explains what the PadRoute app and website collect, why we need it, who may handle it and how to ask us to delete it.
Effective 17 July 2026
Who operates PadRoute
Pleasant Company Pty Ltd, ABN 19 675 312 204, operates PadRoute from New South Wales, Australia. For a privacy question or complaint, email privacy@padroute.com.
Information the app handles
What PadRoute handles depends on which parts of the app you use:
- Your location while PadRoute is open, chosen start and destination, route line, progress and nearby map area.
- Saved places, recent searches, favourite routes, imported routes and the results of route checks.
- Vehicle type, dimensions and optional names, registration or asset identifiers you enter.
- A guest principal and secure credential created by the app so saved information can work without requiring you to create an account.
- Driver reports submitted through PadRoute's fixed report choices. PadRoute does not accept public free-text posts.
- Private product feedback you choose to send, including its category, optional comment, the app screen and relevant context shown before you submit it.
- Basic app usage, app version, device type and operating-system information, plus purchase and subscription status.
- Emails you choose to send to support, privacy or the company.
Location and trip logs
PadRoute asks for your location while the app is open. It uses this to show where you are, search nearby, check a route and give directions. At launch, PadRoute does not ask to track your location continuously in the background.
Drive activity may be saved on your device. PadRoute receives the raw route you drove and related technical details only when you choose to share a trip log with us. We keep a shared raw trip log for up to 90 days, then delete it. We may keep findings that no longer identify you as product improvements.
What stays on your device and what reaches PadRoute
Settings, saved places, recent routes and drive activity may stay on your device. PadRoute servers may store vehicles, searches and imported routes linked to the guest principal, along with driver reports, private product feedback and trip logs you chose to share. Feedback also includes the app version, build, platform and operating-system version so we can investigate it. Planning a route, searching for a place or checking a source sends us the details needed to answer that request.
Why we use information
- Show maps, search for places, check routes for your vehicle, give directions and save your choices.
- Show and improve reports about stops and inspection sites.
- Measure basic website and app usage and find reliability problems during beta.
- Understand and investigate the private product feedback you choose to send.
- Answer support, correction, privacy and deletion requests.
- Protect PadRoute, investigate misuse and meet legal obligations.
PadRoute does not sell personal or sensitive information.
Website analytics and cookies
The website uses Google Analytics 4 to count page visits and beta download-link clicks. We have not enabled advertising personalisation, Google Signals or PadRoute User-ID matching. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar browser storage. You can limit this in your browser or with Google's opt-out tools.
Website and app analytics are separate. PadRoute does not deliberately match a website visitor with the guest principal created by the app. App analytics measures high-level feature usage and does not include raw searches, precise coordinates, route details, vehicle names, registration numbers, asset identifiers, product-feedback comments or report free text.

Retention, deletion and anonymised reports
PadRoute keeps information only for as long as we need it for the reasons on this page, service security or the law. Shared raw trip logs have the time limit above. Other information linked to the guest principal is kept while it supports the beta or until it is deleted.
When we complete a deletion request, we delete saved vehicles, searches, imported routes, private product feedback and shared raw trip logs linked to the guest principal where applicable. A useful driver report may remain after we remove its link to your device.
Access, correction and complaints
Email privacy@padroute.com to ask what PadRoute holds about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or make a complaint. Give us enough detail to find the right records, but do not send unnecessary route or delivery information. We aim to reply within 30 days.
Security and changes
PadRoute uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet or storage system is completely secure. We will post important changes to this policy here with a new date and, where practical, tell people through the app.
