About PadRoute
Every heavy-vehicle trip begins with a question a general navigation app does not answer: what does the published access information say for this vehicle? PadRoute brings that answer - along with access conditions, useful stops and recent driver reports - into one trip view.
Drivers often piece that answer together across general navigation, heavy-vehicle network maps, access conditions, permit information and advice about stops. PadRoute began after its founders spoke with professional drivers who described the same frustration: the tools available to them did not bring the whole job together.
PadRoute starts with the vehicle. Drivers can choose from more than 1,100 presets built from NHVR vehicle definitions, then review a proposed route section by section. They can see where access is shown as approved, where conditions apply and what needs a closer look, including where a known bridge clearance may be a concern, then follow the trip with turn-by-turn guidance and warnings before the access status changes.
The app also brings useful stops and recent driver reports into the same map and route view. Drivers can look ahead before they commit, reduce the time spent jumping between tools and make the final call with more context.
For fleet operators, the same workflow creates a clearer and more consistent way for drivers to review routes across different vehicles and runs. It is a practical field process today and the foundation for the shared oversight and reporting United Intelligence plans to add for fleets.
PadRoute is designed as a second set of eyes. It does not replace permits, official maps or driver judgement. It identifies its sources, keeps limitations visible and links drivers to official information when they need to check the wording for themselves.

Common questions
Can I use PadRoute before and during a trip?
Yes. Choose your vehicle and review the whole trip section by section before departure. When you are ready to drive, PadRoute provides turn-by-turn directions while the app is open and warns you before the route moves into a different access status.
What happens if I lose mobile coverage?
When mobile coverage is available, PadRoute keeps route data downloaded ahead of the vehicle—10 km on PadRoute Free and up to 150 km on PadRoute Pro. Information already downloaded remains available if coverage drops, and PadRoute resumes preparing the route ahead when reception returns.
Where does PadRoute have coverage, and how current is the information?
Stops and facilities are available across Australia. Road-access checks use available NHVR data for the ACT, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria. PadRoute checks for new NHVR data every week and updates the app when it changes. Driver reports are time-stamped, so you can see how recently an observation was made. What is available depends on the source and location.
Where does the access information come from?
PadRoute uses downloaded public NHVR network data, shows where information came from and links to the official source where available. PadRoute is independent and is not endorsed by the NHVR or a road authority. Official maps, permits and source information remain the final authority, and drivers continue to make the final call.
How does PadRoute use my location?
PadRoute uses your location while the app is open to show where you are and provide directions. It does not continue tracking your location after you close the app.

About the team behind PadRoute
PadRoute is developed by United Intelligence, a technology venture founded within Pleasant Company Pty Ltd. The team brings together technology and product development, deep operational and safety knowledge, and product strategy grounded in human behaviour.
Michelle Schuberg and Phil Sullivan previously worked together at Curiious, delivering technology-led training projects for transport, logistics and heavy industry. Their work included LINX Cargo Care Group’s award-winning VR safety training platform, deployed across its Australian and New Zealand operations.
Co-founder Michael Kemp brings extensive operational safety and compliance experience. He helps ensure PadRoute reflects the realities of heavy-vehicle operations and that its route-checking process can be used under real working conditions.
PadRoute is available as a standalone route planning and guidance app for Australian heavy-vehicle drivers. It is also the first product in a broader connected safety and compliance system being developed by United Intelligence. Over time, that system is intended to connect frontline route decisions with fleet oversight, shared reporting and other operational controls through a common dashboard.
